About us

Community Action for Climate Change (CACC) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Somalia. Established in 2018, CACC has been at the forefront of spearheading local development initiatives in the SCZ, with a strong emphasis on humanitarian efforts and climate action.

Community Action for Climate Change (CACC) is an organization that firmly believes in working directly with communities at the grassroots level in Somalia. We understand that the challenges posed by climate change and humanitarian crises require a localized approach that addresses the unique needs and aspirations of the people we serve. At CACC, we are driven by a deep commitment to building resilience and promoting recovery in the face of these pressing challenges. We recognize that vulnerable communities are disproportionately affected by the adverse impacts of climate change, including extreme weather events, food and water scarcity, and displacement. Therefore, our efforts are centered around empowering these communities, supporting their capacity to adapt, and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.

by working closely with local stakeholders, goverment agencies , and international partners , we are able to develop context-specific solutions that address the complex interplay between social ,ecnomic and enviromental factors . Our approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the local context , culture and traditions ,allowing us to implement sustainable and effective initiatives that bring about tangible and lasting change .

Supporting CACC means joing us in our mission to empower vulnerable communities and make a lasting difference in their lives . Your support enables us to provide critical resources, such as emergency relief , access to clean water and sanitation , and livelihood opportunities , that are essential for thier well-being and resilience .
